Here’s another collaboration with “Ulf Pettersson”. The top notch Swedish musician. It’s entitiled “I wanna see”. I wasn’t being serious when I wrote this song. It was a bit of a subtle parody, but then Ulf heard it and loved it. He asked me if he could do his own arrangement of the music. I accepted of course, and this is what he came up with. I think it sounds better than the original version I recorded.
This song is not on my album “Sight Or Sound”.
Ulf is a guy that I’d love to do more with in time to come. I admire his work. He is very much a fan of my material, but we are both quite busy at the moment. I’ve been slaving away with my side of music, and Ulf is currently writing music for film and television. So it’s possible that you might have already heard some of his compositions

This is the next installment of bits frmo my Dad’s life.
My Dad. Part 9.
I pointed out before that my dad knew a number of questionable people. I made a good number of friends myself before he came into my life, and before I even knew he existed. I was to find out later that some of those meetings were not by accident. As a person, I do not judge people. I never have. If somebody was friendly to me, then I spoke to them. There were a few of my friends that told me that I shouldn’t really mix with some of the people I met, because they were trouble. Though whilst I went around with them, there was never any trouble. Not in my company. I found it amusing how people feared some of the individuals I kept company with. I can honestly say that that is something I never felt. Fear was something that was lost on me. They didn’t give me any reason to fear. I always believed that if a threatening situation came along, then you dealt with it. Why worry about something that hasn’t happened? I can’t say I was that surprised to find out that my dad knew these people. He even knew those that I did odd jobs with when I left school.
I’m going to say this next bit is alleged. A tale from Cowgate road. This is something that my father recounted. He can’t be sued because he is now dead. He wanted me to tell this. You may well have heard of the welsh singing star “Tom Jones”. Well it involves him. I’m going to assume you’ve heard of him. I was told that he had sexual intercourse with a girl that was only 14 years old in the field next to Cowgate Road. She became pregnant. The child was lost and the girl died from leukemia not long after. It’s likely that she gave consent, but that kind of act was still illegal. I don’t know if this story is known at all. It’s quite astonishing in my eyes. Maybe not unusual for the 60’s. He was most definitely an adult at the time. A number of my family members are not exactly fans of Tom, but after knowning that story, it’s not really surprising.
To be continued…….

Lastly….
That is the end of the string of five original compositions. The next few are going to be cover versions. Coming up is my rendition of “Lost” by “Coldplay”. I’ve been asked many times to do this one over the last month.
